Image Upload Guide
For excellent prints of your artwork, images must be prepared to the following specifications. Please use this guide to help you upload awesome images to your gallery!
- Format: jpg only
- Max file size: 10mb
- Image Size: Should be minimum 2000 pixels on the shortest side
- Landscape or portrait images must have an aspect ratio of 3:4
- Square images must have an aspect ratio of 1:1, or “square”
- Orient the image with the side that should be on top of the print at the top of uploaded image (for proper placement of hanging hardware on back of print)
Tips for Capturing Images
Photography
For new photos set your smart phone or camera to use aspect ratio of either square/1:1, or 3:4 for landscape & portrait (3:4 is usually the default setting).
For existing photos you can crop images to the above aspect ratios in your smart phone or camera using the device’s edit/crop feature. You can also use image editing software on your computer, or use our cropper.
Paintings, Drawings, Visual Art
Set your smart phone or camera to use aspect ratio of either square/1:1, or 3:4 for landscape & portrait (3:4 is usually the default setting).
Position art in a well lit, non-shadowy, reflection-free place.
Keep the camera centered and perpendicular to the artwork surface to avoid the keystone effect.
